Ashurst Advance is our NewLaw division that works alongside Ashurst's legal experts to solve our clients business challenges through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.

The Opportunity:

We have a twelve month fixed term contract available for an experienced Information Security Officer to join our team in Brisbane. The primary purpose of this role will be to enable the Information Security function to deliver first class and timely security advisory and security assurance services forstrategic digital projects within Ashurst Advance Digital (AAD). Reporting to the Head of Information Security, this is a senior role with an emphasis towards conducting due diligence security assessments of vendors and theirCloud Services offerings.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a security advisory role for both IT and business projects ideally in the legal sector/professional services
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and assessing ISO 27001/27002 controls
  • Industry certification in CISSP, CISM CISA and/or CRISC as well as in AWS and/or AZURE Cloud Platform s
  • Certified ISO27001 Lead Auditor
  • Accreditations in CCSK and/or CCAK ishighly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of Security Risk Management methodologies
  • Knowledge of global Data Protection and Privacy regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with business stakeholders at all levels and collaborate effectively with a globally dispersed project team
