JOB DESCRIPTION

The Digital Content Officer supports the Strategic Communications team to ensure a positive digital experience for customers, in particular users of the corporate website. This content-focused role is responsible for coordinating accurate, timely and compelling content for the website and online services.

Description

  • Writing,editing and publishing content
  • Liaise with stakeholders and respond to requests
  • Receive and review contributions for content on the website and other digital channels
  • Gather content requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Track and manage feedback and approvals from subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate and meets customer needs
  • Maintain currency with contemporary digital practice and publishing standards and champion the customer
  • Re purpose print and PDF material for digital usage and generate original content where required

Profile

  • Tertiary qualification in professional communications, journalism, media studies, professional writing/editing or a related discipline or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience writing for the web and other digital (non-linear) channels, ideally including working to translate technical content from subject matter experts into user-friendly information
  • Experience implementing plain English and accessibility principles to digital content
  • Experience using one or more content management systems to organise and publish content
  • Working knowledge of HTML desirable
  • Experience applying SEO principles to content, gathering intelligence using analytics, creating easy-to-understand reports and sharing insights to enhance customer experience
