We are looking for a skilled, experienced and friendly Restaurant Manager to join our elite team! This position plays a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction. Your ultimate goal should be to provide an exceptional guest experience. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Restaurant Manager job description should contain the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage full front-of-house P&L including but not limited to supplier, labour, maintenance and cost control
  • Manage full end-end lifecycle mgmt. of suppliers ensuring best and most effective product is procured 
  • Lead and manage selection and training of staff 
  • Prepare and manage staff roster 
  • Examine and response to customer email reservations and/or enquiries
  • Meet and manage supplier to investigate new products, platforms and/or services
  • Meet and manage internal and external all marketing, social media and PR campaigns 
  • Create new ideas and events to generate new wave revenues 
  • Plan menu and special dishes with Head and Executive Chef and/or owner
  •  Examine food & beverage materials to ensure the highest quality is procured and served 
  • Manage FOH and POS systems, tools and inventory
  • Always delivery the best culinary experience to the customer by ensuring the best product is served in line with approved menu dishes
  •  Investigate and resolve customer complaints 
  • Perform frequent checks on products, venue to ensure consistent high-quality of food is served
  • Strive to meet target in accordance with the management team i.e Director and/or owner
  • Ensure sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of restaurant and dining areas at all times
  • Train subordinate and trainee staff in all customer service, techniques, food handling/hygiene, OH&S 
  •  Provide excellent customer services
  • Always strive towards best customer satisfaction
  • Greet customers and present menus
  • Arrange table settings
  • Taking orders and promptly relaying to kitchen and bar staff
  •  Serving food and beverages
  • Opening bottles and pouring beverages, including mixing spirits/liquor and assisting in the cellar
  • Recommending dishes and wines to complement food within the fine-dining establishment
  • Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
  • Make suggestions based on customer dietary requirements
  • Up-sell when appropriate
  • Keep tables and restaurant clean and tidy at all times
  • Preparing custom design napkins 
  • Polishing of cutlery and glassware
  • Check products for quality 
  • Deliver bills and collect payments
  • Replenish stock at end of shift 
  • Must be available to work evenings and both days at the weekends (peak periods)
  • Adhere to all relevant NSW health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times 
  • Perform other related duties as required 

Job skills and qualifications:

Restaurant Manager job description should contain the following requirements and qualifications:

  • Minimum two (5) years of experience as a Manager and/or equivalent position 
  • Holds at least AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Hospitality Management 
  • Experience in middle eastern cuisine will be considered a plus 
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Spirit, Wine, bar and cocktail knowledge is a must
  • Carry 3-plates
  •  Previous experience in a fine-dining venue 
  • Solid experience with a cash register and point of sale ordering system (POS)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
