GenesisCare Western Australia is seeking a Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to be a driving force and positive influence in the delivery of cancer services in the Perth region.

What you'll do:

You will work as part of our dedicated team on development and ongoing support of our service, which continues to expand, with a new site in Nedlands and another under construction in Murdoch. All our WA sites are equipped with Elekta linear accelerators with stereotactic capabilities; several sites have Exactrac systems. Our new Murdoch site will provide PET and SPECT CT and capability to house an Elekta Unity MR linac.

The successful applicant will join a highly collaborative team contributing to outcomes in specialised physics service areas across the state and the national GenesisCare network. This includes broad service development opportunities in services such as SRS/SABR, TBI, HDR brachy, SXRT, treatment planning using the Monaco TPS, and MIM. We work in partnership with our Theranostics and HeartCare colleagues to provide better patient care and outcomes.

  • Participation in service development projects in line with business objectives
  • Applying your expertise to treatment procedures including VMAT, IMRT, SRS, DIBH, SABR, DCAT, HDR & LDR
  • Routine quality assurance of linear accelerators and CT simulators

Who you are:

  • Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics - ACPSEM, IPEM, HCPC, ABR, ABMP, CCPM, IMPCB. TEAP registrars close to completion are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills in a virtual team
  • Ability to work independently, and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to be involved in the supervision of ACPSEM TEAP registrars.
