Our Federal Government client is currently seeking experienced Employment Officers to join their team on a temporary basis until June 2021, with view to extension.

This newly created team will provide a broad range of services and assist to job seeker to meet their requirements.

Positions are to commence immediately in the Brisbane CBD, and will be paid at the attractive hourly rate $40+super per hour.

The role responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice to job seekers on jobactive website, system issues, and advice meeting mutual obligations,
  • Responding to requests for information, feedback and complaints.
  • Assessment of compliance and monitoring of job search efforts
  • Other services for job seekers including post placement support, and relevant interventions
  • Assisting eligible job seekers with (limited) goods and services to assist secure employment
  • Facilitating referrals of job seekers to assistance by employment service providers and other concurrent and non-concurrent programs and activities
  • Guidance on career information, job search strategies and resources.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Previous experience in a Disability employment/ Human Services environment is highly desirable
  • Experience handling escalated and crisis calls
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound time management and organisation skills
  • A team focussed attitude
  • Experience working within policies and procedures
  • Call centre experience in a fast-paced environment
