Working within our Sustainability business unit, the role of Senior Planning & Project Lead has arisen as a maternity cover contract.

The purpose of the Sustainability project lead role is to deliver services across all functions relating to business strategic planning, project delivery and governance. This role will support Manager, Future Workforce in the design, development and interpretation of the sustainability strategy, whilst developing and providing oversight to the business unit portfolio of initiatives.

This role is a 12-month max term contract.

We’re Looking For Inspiring People Who Will

  • Provide oversight and alignment of the business unit strategic priorities in relation to the corporate strategy, and operational projects
  • Plan and execute the delivery of projects using Agile ways of working, ensuring all projects are prioritised and resourced to achieve outcomes
  • Manage cross functional project teams, championing collaboration and transparency across all initiatives to deliver project objectives
  • Ensure project transparency, including accurate and timely status reporting and appropriate escalation
  • Maintain governance processes of the business unit portfolio including facilitation of business plans and budget development
  • Communicate effectively through preparing complex and technical information into clear and concise messaging for senior stakeholders
  • Using exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, establish and maintain relationships across the business unit to deliver best outcomes
Our ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in designing, developing, and implementing business strategies and plans
  • Ability to problem solve strategically and Communicate effectively through preparing complex and technical information into clear and concise messaging for senior stakeholders
  • Impeccable self-management skills and proven initiative to make a difference
  • Collaborative and adaptable attitude with great interpersonal skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and guide towards the strongest outcome
  • A background in People and Culture/HR is highly desirable
