Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior or Principal Engineer to join the Power Delivery and Integration team in Australia. Successful candidates may be located in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth.

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Advise clients and creating business relationships, preparation of proposals and business development
  • Mentor and nurture junior engineers to develop and successful in their carers
  • Assist and guide engineers to efficiently solve problems, to propose efficient solutions, and to effectively use the different power system tools and study approaches for achieving the above objectives
  • Provide thought leadership to the industry through engagement in professional activities in the region is also expected.
  • Be required to occasionally travel to site location or for customer meetings in Australia as well as internationally.

You will bring to the role:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate degrees in Power Systems),
  • Demonstrated experience in power system analysis and expert knowledge in using relevant analysis tools and platforms
  • Proven track record in developing strong and lasting relationships with clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work within focused and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to engage in a number of simultaneous tasks and managing tasks and resources to deliver on time
  • Familiarity with policies, guidelines, rules and regulations as applicable to Australian National Electricity Market (NEM) as well as other jurisdictions will be an added advantage.
