What we are looking for

As our Learning & Development Manager for our Star Academy Foundation Centre in this 12-14 month MAT cover role, you will be responsible for creating high-performing teams and coaching team members within The Star Entertainment Group for excellent execution of the organisational strategy. You will also support the learning & development team in the delivery of foundational learning initiatives to the organisation.

Key responsibilities in the role are but not limited to:

  • Represent The Star Academy and drive engagement for the foundation development centre for TSEG
  • Be a subject matter expert on best practice contemporary learning and development methodologies
  • Lead The Star Academy Foundation Centre team to deliver innovative team member learning interventions in a complex and changing environment
  • Delivery, evaluation, and facilitation of development initiatives including training programs, workshops, coaching and digital learning programs
  • Ensure star values and learning architecture framework and content is included in relevant programs and interventions
  • Lead the delivery in all levels of the guest service programs
  • Lead the continued roll out of the Gallup Strengths program
  • Drive the digital e learning strategy for learning to be accessible to all team members
  • Create team member pathways in experiential learning and develop greater bench strength within The Star for identified future leaders
  • Conduct analysis and audit of learning/development outcomes for the performance of individual Team Members/Teams
  • Evaluate relevance and impact on all foundational programs

BE YOUR BEST SELF

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Prior 4+ years’ experience in training / education/ learning and development in a large organisation
  • Demonstrated ability in end-to-end L&D activities, program and resource development, program delivery/facilitation, coaching and audit/review of interventions to measure success
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or Hospitality or related discipline from a recognised educational institution desirable
  • Proven ability in building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Ability to work within a fast paced and constantly evolving environment
