About the role

Leading the team of electrical trades to ensure high quality electrical services are provided to plant and equipment at our Springwood Bakery, the Electrical Supervisor supports production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime. All electrical work is planned and aligned to plant and resource availability. The Electrical Supervisor provides the team of 8 with leadership, support and on the job training.

The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Maintenance Manager and Mechanical Supervisor to identify improvements to achieve machine reliability and improved site performance. At Tip Top, Safety is at the heart of everything that we do and therefore, an integral part of this role will involve maintaining compliance with all health and safety requirements, directions and work in accordance with the company quality systems, policies and procedures.

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Using lean manufacturing principals, investigate and report on machine reliability failures.
  • Drive performance, accountability and engagement within the Electrical Team with a key focus on building capability.
  • Participate in all R&M and agreed capital programmes to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Support best practice asset Reliability Systems and support to the Maintenance Teams.
  • In conjunction with the leadership team, continuously review systems and processes to improve key operational efficiency measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the CI programme including RCAs and PDP projects.
  • Support production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime.
  • Plan maintenance work to align with plant and resource availability.
  • Provide the Electrical Team with leadership, support and on the job training.
About You
  • Experience as supervisor or similar role
  • Electrical trade qualified
  • Experienced PLC programming and fault finding
  • Experience with automated systems
  • Experience utilising CMMS systems - MEX desirable
  • Demonstrated strong people leadership skills, with the ability to increase engagement and drive performance
  • Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
  • Effective communication and influencing capability
  • Strong safety mindset in all facets of work
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and an ability to effectively problem solve
