About the opportunity

The Head of Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs will work closely with the Group CEO, CFO, General Counsel and other members of our Global Leadership Team to design and execute Openpay's investor relations strategy and framework, providing a compelling investor relations roadmap directed at the investment community including current and prospective shareholders and research analysts.

This role will play a key part in managing external relationships, developing strategic messages, and assuring strong and consistent communication with the investment community.

In addition to having a strategic understanding of the company and payments landscape, the Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs will have a strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation methods and capital market trends, and the proven ability to craft engaging and impactful messages that inspire both team members and investors.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and implementing a proactive and robust investor relations strategy and plan that is aligned with Openpay's corporate goals
  • Developing investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value.
  • Organising the development of communication materials (investor presentations, Q&A, scripts, key messages/talking points, earnings releases, statutory reporting etc.) in collaboration with the Executive Team in preparation for investor and analyst events, roadshows, conferences, one-on-one meetings, and announcements.
  • Creating and managing a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Interacting with the investment community on behalf of Openpay and while being proficient at communicating the company mission, values and our differentiated offering
  • Accompanying executive leadership at investor conferences with institutional investors and analysts.
  • Planning and leading special analyst and investor events.
  • Managing external consultants across a number of geographies to drive investor relations and corporate affairs efforts to beneficial effect
  • Planning and leading the annual report and half yearly report content and production process.
About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience serving in a fast-paced, high performing ASX listed company environment
  • Experience in equity research, corporate strategy, finance or corporate communications in the payments industry is strongly preferred.
  • Executive presence and significant experience working with and influencing senior teams/executives.
  • Experience working/collaborating with International IR Firms, PR Firms and globally dispersed internal work teams (e.g. Marketing and Finance) to achieve successful outcomes.
  • An established network of capital markets participants: brokers, analysts, institutional investors and the like
  • Intimate knowledge of financial modelling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and proven ability to interact with all stakeholders effectively and credibly.
  • Experience organising and managing investor roadshows, investor events, conferences, one on one meetings.
  • Experience overseeing the announcement of all financial results (Annual, Half Yearly, Quarterly), including the preparation of scripted remarks and accompanying slides, press releases, anticipated Q&A, and other related materials.
  • Experience conducting ongoing benchmarking and analysis of peers and industry trends to inform best-in-class IR program as the company grows.
  • You'll be Degree qualified (MBA a plus), or have equivalent payments industry experience.
