The Westpac Group has a complex Information Technology environment that needs to deliver to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and employees, the ever-evolving IT landscape and the Group's regulatory and statutory requirements.

As the Senior Infrastructure Technical Lead, you provide technical Level 3 support and administration for all components Oracle Databases and Exadata Platform. The role is responsible for Level 3 administration, performance analysis and tuning, automation, critical incident resolution task, and continuous value addition through automation, consultation.

What do I need?

  • Strong in-depth product knowledge of the Oracle suite, Architecture
  • Expert knowledge of Exadata Database Machine architecture and support (e.g. patching, troubleshooting on operating system, storage cell, IB switch). Experience with supporting Exadata is must.
  • Strong knowledge in managing zFS storage appliance.
  • Knowledge in managing Virtual Machines (e.g. OVM) is a plus.
  • Proven problem analysis skills and ability to quickly determine root cause for complex issues.
  • Ability to automate tasks and procedures to drive efficiency of administration tasks (e.g. scripting, proficiency with automation tools)
  • Ability to plan and perform complex technical changes under tight time constraints.
  • Drive database systems efficiency - Performance analysis and tuning
  • Liaison with IT business, application for continuous value addition
