The Opportunity:

As a Pricing Specialist, you will support the pricing business partner to provide product and pricing terms for a specified portfolio of clients. The main focus of this role will involve performing and/or reviewing pricing and profit testing within agreed timelines. You will work closely with the business development and strategic partnership teams, product, reinsurance and actuarial teams to deliver effective and sustainable solutions.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Review and advise on the terms of existing products in addition to contributing to the design of new products.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and pricing assumptions whilst conducting profitability analyses.
  • Analyse product-related financial risks and manage product-specific reinsurance arrangements
  • Manage portfolios and conduct regular loss ratio analysis reviews to determine profitability & experience for large key client accounts
  • Provide pricing options to stakeholders and creating recommendations in pricing for product offerings

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Prior experience as a pricing specialist with proven knowledge in group insurance preferred, but not required
  • A background in actuarial studies with progress in Actuarial Fellowship qualifications desirable
  • Sound understanding of actuarial concepts, capital, profit and value measures
  • Understanding of the key drivers of the Group Insurance market
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an understanding of performance targets and measurement
