The Role:

Seeking a highly skilled Communications Adviser to assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of strategic communications plans and campaigns across a large government agency. You will support the delivery of best-practice and evidence-based communications that concisely communicate the agency's narrative to our staff and the broader public.

Your experience in the development and delivery of Government Marketing Campaigns will allow you to hit the ground running in this fast paced, highly engaged team. Reporting into the Senor Campaign Adviser, you will support them in the delivery of external campaigns, marketing and engagement activities, including campaign budget expenditure.

The role also actively participates in a broad range of communication tasks, events and activities to support the delivery of priority work. Some ad hoc after-hours work may be required during busy periods. Previous experience working in the Public Sector is preferred and will be considered first. Apply now!


  • Assist in coordinating, developing and evaluating communication strategies and campaigns
  • Coordinating procurement in accordance with the agency's and public sector communications guidelines, including advertising
  • Support and help coordinate communication policies including sponsorship and social media policies
  • Coordinating procurement in accordance with public sector communications guidelines, including advertising
  • Manage key client relationships across the agency and with external suppliers

Your Skills:

  • Experience in planning and implementing government advertising campaigns
  • Expertise in providing strategic marketing and communications advice
  • Understanding of strategic communication activities and their role in the public sector
  • Able to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction and constructively deal with stakeholder issues
  • Experience in developing content for a range of channels, including social media
  • Edits written communications to ensure they contain the information necessary to achieve their purpose


  • A relevant tertiary degree in Communications or Marketing
