MENTAL HEALTH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR - OPEN ARMS - WINNELLIE

Here is your chance to positively impact the lives of people who have served their country! Due to increased Government funding, an opportunity is available for a suitably qualified mental health professional to work with a leading federal government organisation, based in Winnellie.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Enhance Open Arm's ability to identify and respond to the needs of vulnerable and at risk veterans, current and former defence force members and/or their families. Being a true professional all intervention implemented will be evidence based with tried and proven results. Duties include:

  • Coordinate the activities of the Community Engagement Team
  • Ensure optimisation of wellbeing and participation in the community through community engagement, collaborative recovery work and complex case management
  • Propose and facilitate innovation initiatives that contribute to evidence informed business improvement strategies
  • Liaise and form partnerships with key external stakeholders
  • Community development and service promotion
  • Provide feedback on Open Arm's policies and procedures
ABOUT YOU:
  • AHPRA registered Psychologist or Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist, OR AASW registered Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
  • Working with Children Check &/or Vulnerable Peoples Check or ability to attain
  • Relevant experience within hospital and acute mental health settings
  • Management experience within clinical settings
  • Australian citizen (federal government position requirement)
THE BENEFITS:
  • $60 to $65 p/h + 9.5% superannuation, paid weekly
  • Monday to Friday flexible start & finish time (37.5 hours / week)
