This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for 12 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, subject to business requirements. This position is available to commence on 2 August 2021.

About the role

In the Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages we pride ourselves with our friendly and helpful service and we are looking to appoint a suitably organised, multi-tasker with excellent communication skills to undertake the role of Administrative Assistant to help us with our ever-increasing administrative duties.

In this role you will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative and clerical support to the Registrar and members of the management team across a range of duties. You will also be assisting the Finance Administration Officer in general administration duties such as processing accounts payable, managing staff travels, rosters and office maintenance.

About you

We are seeking a candidate who is professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate, has the initiative and drive to respond to the needs as they come in and has a genuine desire to assist others. The candidate must also be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
