  • NFP Salary Packing - up to $15,900 p.a.

About the Role

Our team in East Fremantle is looking for a Registered Nurse to coordinate and lead the delivery of client-focused care. Our facility is truly luxurious with an on site hair dresser, a library, fine dining and beautiful indoor / outdoor spaces.

As one of our valued Nurses, you'll get to use your clinical expertise and skills to provide quality services for our residents.

We'd love for you to share your clinical knowledge of complex chronic illnesses and dementia.

If you enjoy leading small teams, this could be your ideal new role - as you'll be leading another Registered Nurse, an Enrolled Nurse and Three Carers.

We'll also be asking you to:
  • Undertake ACFI-related activities such as assessments & admissions.
  • Assess client health needs - care planning, clinical governance & documentation.
  • Develop tailored care plans in consultation with clients' family & health professionals.
  • Consult with senior staff & medical practitioners to ensure best outcomes for our clients.
About You

With a good five years or so of nursing experience under your belt, you may already be working in aged care. Or, perhaps you've been contemplating a move into the aged care sector.

It's no secret that working in aged care can be challenging and stressful, but once you settle in, you'll truly appreciate knowing that you've made a genuine difference in the quality of our residents' lives.

We're a tight knit team at East Freo, and this goes a long way to ensure that we can manage our busy schedules, whilst sharing some laughs and banter.

Success in this role, and job satisfaction will be greatly ensured if you have:
  • A genuine desire to work in aged care.
  • An understanding of Commonwealth Aged Care Standards, Aged Care Act & Quality of Care Principles.
  • Working knowledge of ACFI requirements.
  • The ability to mentor, lead & support a small team.
  • A good eye for detail & resilience to multi task whilst under pressure.
  • Great interpersonal & communication skills.

Southern Plus East Fremantle is a new and innovative aged care facility bringing a modern approach to aged care, health and wellness to seniors in East Fremantle. Officially opening in mid-2018, the former Kaleeya Hospital has been redeveloped by Southern Cross Care to offer next-generation aged care, with advanced care planning to support frail aged and people living with advanced dementia. The site also includes a state-of-the art health and wellness center with a hydropool, gym and allied health specialists.
