JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Education and Training is delivering Disability Inclusion to transform the way students with disability are supported in Victorian government schools. Disability Inclusion will provide a range of supports, tools, guidance and training to ensure schools can provide an inclusive environment for all members of their school community.

North Eastern Victoria Region (NEVR) are seeking a dynamic and committed Inclusive Education Coordinator to support the NEVR Manager, Inclusion Access and Participation who leads the Inclusive Education agenda across the Region through the provision of expert policy and program advice. This role will engage with Area leaders and staff to build the capability of workforces across the Region in relation to inclusive education.

The successful applicant will be a values-driven individual who possesses specialist expertise in policy development and implementation, policy skills, and organisational awareness. An ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and manage stakeholders is critical.

Relevant experience in schools and/or the education system is desirable as is a relevant qualification in education, disability, allied health or relevant field.

This position is located in North Eastern Victoria Region and can be undertaken from any one of five Regional Office locations (Glen Waverley, Benalla, Shepparton, Seymour or Wodonga).
