The Opportunity

Come and discover the brand-new opportunity to join our BlueScope Building Components business as a Business Development Manager. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

This is an exciting, newly created role that will see you build business around our Lysaght Home Improvement products. You will build strong partnerships with our customers while tapping into new business opportunities. In this role, you will develop sales strategies that will ensure profitable growth of revenue, margin and market share for our BlueScope Building Components business.

This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including a laptop, phone and tool of trade vehicle.

What Will You Do?

Based in Emu Plains NSW, this role will see you covering Sydney metropolitan and regional NSW territory, you will:

  • build strong relationships with our existing customers while identifying new opportunities for growth
  • identify new customers through building sustainable relationships
  • research and investigate key industry projects for further business growth opportunities
  • provide leadership, guidance and input into key customer supply proposals, quotes and tender submissions

More About You

Along with your strong ability to understand and uncover customer needs transforming this into improved product and service offerings, you will bring:

  • business 2 business technical sales experience
  • strong relationship management and influencing capabilities
  • ability to understand building plans and interpret technical requirements of customers
  • a solid business acumen with the ability to understand pricing and margin and its impact on profitability for the business
