We’re looking for a software engineer with demonstrated Node JS & Angular experience to continue building and delivering delightful software with a fast growing & exciting Australian founded SaaS business.

Squizify has built a cutting-edge operational excellence platform focusing on digital food safety for all hospitality businesses both big and small.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Deliver delightful software in accordance with organisation architecture and standards.
  • Analyse business requirements from a technical perspective and determine technical solutions.
  • Fully participate in and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the software development process and quality assurance activities.
  • Working with designers and other developers to deliver, design and implement useful features.
  • Improve our testing coverage and refactoring existing code.
  • Exploring and spiking new initiatives.

Daily responsibilities

  • Articulate requirements; create and review technical solutions for small-medium solutions.
  • Implement well-structured code aligned to product architecture, considering robustness, modularity and testability.
  • Participate in and contribute to code reviews, and retrospectives and process improvement.

Qualifications and experience

  • Demonstrated working with Node JS, Angular and Mongo DB experience desired.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor/Grad Dip. Science/Computer Science/Software Engineering, IT Certification or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven working experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of software development and quality processes, especially Agile development methodologies.
  • (Nice to have) Experience working in high paced/startup environments.

  • This is a work from home role with some face-to-face meetings on a as and when needed basis in the Brisbane metro region.
