JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a leading provider of Landscape Design, Construction and Maintenance services to the residential sector of the Sydney landscape market. We are seeking a full-time Landscape Gardener to join our team.

You will be responsible for onsite work, with responsibility for travelling to site and working individually or as part of a team on site to maintain new and existing gardens. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and executing small scale landscaping operations.
  • Maintaining grounds and landscape of private and business residences.
  • Assisting clients achieve excellence in their gardens.
  • Working individually and as part of a team to prepare and grade terrain, apply fertilizers, seed and sod lawns, and transplant shrubs and plants, using manual and power-operated equipment.
  • Plan lawns and plants and cultivate them, using gardening implements and power-operated equipment.
  • Plant new and repair established lawns, using seed mixtures and fertilizers recommended for particular soil type and lawn location.
  • Locate and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers selected by property owner or those recommended for particular landscape effect.
  • Mow and trim lawns, using hand mower or power mower.
  • Trims shrubs and cultivates gardens.
  •  Clean grounds, using rakes, brooms, and hose.
  • Sprays trees and shrubs, and apply supplemental liquid and dry nutrients to lawn and trees.
  • Delivery of a high quality standard of work at all times.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • AQF Certificate III in horticulture or landscaping or a related field, including at least two years of on-the-job training, or
  • AQF Certificate IV in horticulture or landscaping or a related field, level, or
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute of the formal qualifications listed above.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in the residential market is preferred.

  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
