As our BI Data analyst, your role is to consult with business executives and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and improve the data management and reporting function of the organisation. Experience in, or exposure to, manufacturing/FMCG/equipment automation will be well regarded but is not essential. Experience with MS Dynamics / Navision would also be very well regarded.

To achieve this, the primary duties in this role would include:

  • Support and development (including troubleshooting and dealing with vendor partners) of the company's Business intelligence and data warehouse systems including data architecture, data integration, high availability, security, and data privacy.
  • The continuous evolution of our data strategy by keeping the pulse on current technology and methodology and by effectively utilizing consulting partners when necessary to achieve new functionality.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on data for the organisation
  • Develop efficient processes, procedures and standards practice to streamline the delivery of reporting
  • Implement machine learning frameworks to increase predictive intelligence of forecasting
  • Improving business profitability by developing Analytics to enable the development of optimal pricing strategies, overhead allocation and reduction model and fine-tuning of marketing strategies.
  • Develop the Business Intelligence strategy for the migration towards a smart factory (Industry 4.0) through data analysis and integration into strategic and operational activities.

To be successful in this role, you will also need to have:

  • Strong Data Management, Data Warehouse Design and Data Architecture skills
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Databricks and Azure SQL database
  • Technical skills on Microsoft on-premise BI stack (MSBI): SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SharePoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to consult, liaise and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Commercial experience with a focus on an understanding of business problems, hypothesis formation, feature engineering & predictive modelling
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing data analytics solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of BI/data warehousing best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing data governance, process management and data quality assurance.
  • Track record and methodical approach in project management and execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to consult, liaise and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with extensive experience working in a team/ collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (preferred)
