Your new company

Hays Legal have partnered with a leading global asset management company as they look to add a Legal Counsel to their Legal, Compliance & Risk team. This specialist fund manager focuses on contrarian investments for both institutional and retail clients.

Your new role

Will see you advising on legal matters across a number of entities in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Some responsibilities include;

  • Reviewing disclosure documents and running due diligence sign offs;
  • Legal project management on a variety of business project;
  • Contract negotiation on a wide variety of contracts;
  • Legal research on proposed business and regulatory initiatives that may impact the business from both a commercial and legal perspective;
  • Review and approving marketing and promotional materials;
  • Assist in ensuring policies and procedures are in line with regulatory changes;
  • Providing company secretarial support (when required);
  • Assisting in the implementation of risk management within the business.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Australian legal qualifications and a current Australian practising certificate;
  • 3-6 years' PQE with substantial experience in funds / asset management (either from in-house or a leading-tier private practice team);
  • An eagerness to learn and adapt where necessary;
  • Self-starter who show's initiative.
