The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Customer & Community, the Manager Stakeholder Engagement (SE) position will provide leadership across the business to drive effective, meaningful and sophisticated engagement with customers, stakeholders and industry to deliver improved business outcomes. The role will lead the development and implementation of the SAPN Stakeholder Strategy, an important organisational wide corporate sub-strategy and key enabler of the organisation’s strategic focus areas.

A critical area of focus for the Manager SE will be to lead the development and delivery of comprehensive customer and stakeholder engagement to support the organisation’s Regulatory Proposal, which outlines business plans, proposed expenditure and network tariffs for the five-year regulatory period. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders including the Board, Executive and Project team, and external stakeholders, representing SA Power Networks on industry groups and in engagement with bodies such as regulators, Government representatives, customer advocates, and industry representatives.

The Manager SE role will lead the development of the organisation’s Advocacy strategy, designed to identify opportunities to influence State or National policy or regulatory outcomes, or potential growth opportunities. It will also provide strategic engagement advice and consultancy to internal partners and work collaboratively across the organisation to evolve and embed an effective customer and stakeholder engagement framework, as part of business as usual activities.

A competitive salary package on a four-year term is offered. The successful applicant must be willing to relocate to South Australia and relocation support is available.


  • Bachelor of Business, Communications or Marketing or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience in a corporate stakeholder relations environment for a large corporation
  • Experience working in a relevant industry e.g. utilities and/or complex, regulated organisations
  • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities
