Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital. Oncology nursing is diverse, requiring a good understanding of all body systems and assessment skills. Cancer nursing involves caring for patient receiving blood products, IV medications, chemotherapy, drain and central line management, symptom control and palliative care. You will be supported by the NUM, CNCs, CNE, nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team. There are online and formal learning pathways to support and continue your education.

What you'll be doing

The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.

The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.
