Responsible for the Corporate Information and Land Information teams, the Coordinator seeks to ensure that Council creates and keeps high quality and accurate information that can be used to support informed decision-making and accountability; whilst also meeting business needs, community expectations and information management compliance requirements.

Temporary full-time position of up to 12 months in duration.

The salary range for these opportunities commences at $108,909 (Grade J, Step1) + 9.5% super.

Accountabilities include:

  • Ensure the delivery of a customer focussed information management service offering industry best practice to the organisation.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and systems as part of Council’s overall Information Management Strategy to maximise the efficient provision of information management services.
  • Responsible for leading the Corporate Information and Land Information Management Teams in accordance with legislative requirements and Council policies.
  • Lead and manage Information Management projects within the agreed project scope, budget and timeframes ensuring the project outcomes are delivered.
  • Understand and interpret the complex business information needs, priorities and compliance requirements that must be considered in Council's diverse operational and system environments
  • Influence and drive improvement in all areas of Information Management, including data governance, and provide high-level consultancy advice to all areas of Council on the effective management of data and information

Essential Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in an information management discipline supported by extensive practical experience.
  • Solid knowledge of the information services industry, including records management, land management and information technology.
  • Extensive expertise in the information management field.
  • Demonstrated experience in integration projects and consolidation of data.
  • Extensive experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the development of records and information management strategies, policies and procedures and internal training programs
  • Proven experience working with electronic records management and information systems.
  • Proven experience in records and information management project management, including financial management, resources management, procurement and contract management
