About the role

Technology Services provides effective technology leadership, strategy, and expertise through proactive engagement with the University and its partners, with the goal to deliver purposeful and reliable technology systems in line with the expectations and requirements of the University and its customers.

The work unit consists of broad functional areas including Infrastructure Services, Customer Service, Student Engagement, Research and Academic Engagement, Administration Engagement and System Customisation.

The Manager, Cyber and Information Security, leads the planning, establishment, and continual improvement of the cyber-security program and project initiatives to safeguard the University's information systems and assets from internal and external security risks.

Attractive remuneration package up to $140,000 per annum is available for this continuing role.

The successful candidate can nominate a Gold Coast or Lismore appointment, and generous relocation support is available if relocating to the area. Our campuses are located in regions that offer the best of the Australian lifestyle: sporting and cultural events, world-class beaches, World Heritage Listed rainforests and vibrant community hubs.

About you

You will significant expertise in cyber and information security management and a proven ability to evaluate and articulate risk in the context of strategic business imperatives and objectives, applying relevant compliance, regulatory and control frameworks.

You will have a strong knowledge of emerging security risks and have technical expertise in enterprise and information systems security, security technologies, and engineering across a range of platforms and systems. Importantly, you will have excellent communication skills and a track record of effectively engaging stakeholders in risk management activities.

With project experience, you will be able to coordinate the activities of multi-disciplinary teams to enhance cyber and information security management. Experience within the university sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
