JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to contribute to our overall purpose of looking after our members’ super with excellence and improving the long-term super benefits of our members.

About the role
This role sits within our Finance and Business Services team and reports to our Senior Manager of People and Business Services. As part of the position, our Information Security Analyst will:

  • Assist the IT Security Manager in all activity in relation to information security.
  • Provide technical knowledge and understanding to the business across a range of Information technology/security topics especially within Information security controls / standards.
  • Assist business areas in information security activities and compliance and ensure that information is secure.
  • Implement information security initiatives to improve the Information Security position of GESB and improve visibility of information security.

About you

  • Demonstrated capability to work across the business and with third party suppliers to deliver on agreed outcomes.
  • Good understanding and application of the Office of Digital Government’s strategy for WA government agencies.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing IT Security processes and procedures and knowledge of contemporary strategies for enhancing cyber security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in risk and compliance systems within a government context.
  • Demonstrated capability in completing regular agency reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology/Security or a related field.
