The Opportunity

Responsibility for driving and maximizing ENT sales to achieve sales targets for the assigned New South Wales territory within the guidelines of Smith & Nephews policies and strategies. To take ownership of the ENT product line and become an expert in its applications, competition and pricing and other relevant information. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and you will be part of a small and very dynamic team focusing only on ENT.

The Key Focus Areas of the Role

Develop strong product knowledge and demonstrate effective selling strategies to meet agreed sales targets within the assigned territory.

Effectively drive product launches together with head office with the aim to convert to new sales

Instruct customers on the techniques and product information required to facilitate effective implementation of products

Ensure timely forecast changes are communicated to management to facilitate effective inventory management and product supply.

Complete monthly sales activity reports – content and frequency subject to discussion with manager.

Travel to conferences and training events as required may include weekend work. Attend interstate meetings as required.

Support local KOL relationships.

The Requirements of the Successful Candidate

Tertiary qualifications in a health science discipline and/or Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Business/Marketing

Minimum of 5 years sales experience and a clear demonstration of success selling in the operating room environment.

ENT product and industry knowledge coupled with the ability to deal with surgeons and agents and translate client need into complete solutions

Good understanding of the ANZ healthcare system and key stakeholders

Comprehension of all compliance issues

Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency

Business acumen and analytical and reporting skills

Outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent business communication skills – written and oral

Highly focused on exceeding customer expectations

Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with internal and external customers

The capacity to work independently whilst remaining accountable for achievement of results and meeting deadlines

Domestic Travel up to 20%
