Monash Health provides health care across south eastern Melbourne, uniquely integrating in one organisation primary, secondary and tertiary health services, as well as world renowned research and teaching facilities. Monash Health has a role in specialist care for greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.

Monash Women's maternity service is the largest maternity provider in Victoria providing care to over 9,000 women each year across three hospitals.

About the role

The Caseload Registered Midwife works with a collaborative team approach which is what underpins the success of our program with medical and midwifery staff supporting continuity of care and women’s choices in childbirth. You will have the opportunity to provide care in both the hospital and the woman's home. Caseload midwifery has been demonstrated to provide increased satisfaction and outstanding outcomes for mothers and babies.

There is a fixed Term 0.8 EFT opportunity until November 2021

About you

You already know there is much more to being a midwife than meets the eye. The kind of midwife you want to be is woman-centred, innovative and safe. Giving woman birthing choices that are informed and underpinned by evidence based practice within a women centred organisation that includes water birth and home birth.

What you need
  • Current APHRA registration
  • Demonstrated Maternity experience aligned to positon description including evidence of experience across the continuum of pregnancy care including EPC and Maternity Clinics
  • FSEP minimum Level 3
