About role/you

This dynamic, newly-created, position in the Channels & Campaigns team within University Communications will play a key role in leading and driving the development and implementation of a refreshed channels and campaigns framework which brings coordination, data-led decision making and innovation to the way RMIT delivers communications across the breadth of the University.

Reporting to the Associate Director Communications, Channels and Campaigns, and leading a team of communications experts, the ideal candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker who brings a wealth of experience in campaign strategy and management, audience engagement, channel innovation, content development and stakeholder management.

Your key responsibilities will include leading the planning and management of content, multi-channel enterprise communications campaigns and channel strategy and performance, whilst also providing best-practice advice and guidance to the wider University Communications team and key stakeholders on innovative solutions which align to RMIT's priorities, our wider University Communication strategy and audience needs.

To be successful in this position, you'll have, but not limited to:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the creation and distribution of innovative and impactful content for internal and external channels
  • Team leadership capabilities and proven delivery of key streams of work in a high performing MarComms function or agency environment. A background in the Education sector is not required.
  • Demonstrated experience in content and campaign planning, delivery and measurement that contributes to organisational objectives.
  • Knowledge and experience in driving digital innovation through data-led decision making to improve outcomes.
  • Stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence at all levels

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and with significant relevant professional experience at a similar level. Experience in the Education sector is not essential.
