JOB DESCRIPTION

Hasbro Russia LLC is currently recruiting to fill the following position, working from the Company's offices in Moscow.

The Senior Manager Category Licensing shall have the following knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive experience in consumer-packaged goods marketing, sales or retail environment.
  • Experience and ability in managing multiple stakeholders (including international colleagues, lawyers, QA, Vendor Compliance, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Russian FMCG market: major players, they portfolio, history of working with brands, etc.
  • People management experience (as an advantage) with the capacity to actively lead, monitor, train and develop to drive a team’s success.
  • Leadership qualities, including balanced decision-making ability and sound judgment and calculated decision making.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including active listening ability.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to operate in a past paced & highly fluid environment and bring new ideas and thinking to the business.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adjust priorities.
  • Upper-Intermediate English (oral and written).
  • Good computer knowledge (MO: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Outlook.).
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
Job responsibilities

Business Management
  • Develop and lead long term profitable partnerships with licensees and all partners to ensure Hasbro is the market licensor of choice
  • Identify and negotiate with key licensees whose manufacturing core competencies, brand interpretation capabilities, pricing models and distribution strengths support strategic initiative
  • Manage licensees for assigned categories including deal negotiation, relationship building, distribution strategies, reviewing/approving product concept
  • Develop and execute merchandise "go-to-market" strategies using market knowledge (e.g., industry, competitive set, Company needs) and account plans in order to maximize short and long-term growth
  • Conduct bi-annual top to top meetings with key licensees for a general business update and to ensure that all business opportunities are being discussed & explored
  • Consistently seek information on existing and prospective licensees to ensure that Hasbro’s portfolio of partners is ‘best in class’.
  • Ensure regular communication of plans to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee management of gap analysis by brand and category to identify potential leads
Financial Management
  • Lead annual budget planning and quarterly forecasts updates
  • Lead and deliver financial targets to the agreed budgeted phasing, with focus on quarterly targets.
  • Effectively manage the above within the agreed financial measures – marketing and travel expense
  • Lead quarterly financial planning reviews with key licensees to ensure that predetermined growth targets will be met.
  • Lead regional financial team as required ensuring royalty reporting & financial payments are received in a timely manner.
Retail Management
  • Develop and lead strong relationships with key buyers and merchandise managers across all channels of distribution
  • Fully understand retail buying calendars, decision-making timeframes and decision influencers to effectively position Hasbro’s properties against competitors
  • Identify merchant’s strategies/initiatives and seek opportunities for Hasbro brands.
  • Consistently and effectively communicate brand strategies to buyers to gain support for our properties
  • Ensure that our existing partners continue to have the resources and retail influence to achieve or maintain placement of our properties
  • Co-lead with Hasbro Brand and Sales teams to support and execute cross-category programs
Market Trend Analysis
  • Understand and effectively communicate to management and business contributors the drivers of each category, (planogram space, buying patterns, competitive set); performance of existing competitive properties and future property launches.
  • Develop intimate knowledge of competitive properties at retail. Develop and an understanding of key buyer support; competitive property performance, and marketing/promotional initiatives that may impact Hasbro’s ability to get properties placed and/or generate high-performing POS
  • Keep current with industry trends and developments through networking, attending trade shows and industry functions.
  • SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and the Code of conduct.
