Position Summary:

Lead Web Developer

Created in 2017 as part of the Victorian reforms to overhaul quality and safety the Victorian Agency for Health Information (VAHI) has recently been integrated into the Victorian Department Of Health.

With a mission to ensure that data and information relating to the performance of the Victorian healthcare system is readily available to clinicians, health boards, researchers and the broader Victorian community VAHI is now looking for a Lead Web Developer to join their team.

Reporting into the Website & Portal Manager you are going to have the opportunity to design and implement the VAHI portal for health services. Leading the technical solution design you will be responsible for all aspects of the application including security, performance and maintenance. You will be someone who can adapt to changing environments, have demonstrated experience of leading multiple system integrations and is experience with agile practices.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the design development and architecture of the agency's website and portals
  • Leading the development and application of technical solutions
  • Leading the integration between multiple systems
  • Managing contractors and vendors to ensure delivery against contracts and SLA's
  • Promoting and contributing to the development and ongoing implementation of procedures to assure the quality of the agency's web content
You will have:
  • Extensive experience working on enterprise level Drupal development and web applications
  • Experience with design systems and component driven design
  • Experience in building secured authenticated web applications
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of developers
