About the branch

The Finance Operations Division provides core support and strategic services in finance, procurement and the project management office. The division provides the strategies, business processes and systems to efficiently and effectively deliver these core support services to enable Parks Victoria to be financially sustainable.

The Procurement and Contracts Branch supports Parks Victoria's efforts in driving effective and value-for-money procurement activities that aligned with the Victorian Government's procurement policies and the organisation's strategic priorities and business needs.

About the role and your responsibilities:

As the Procurement Business Partner, your primary focus is to provide procurement advice, work collaboratively with stakeholders, review critical procurement documentation and lead procurement projects on behalf of the organisation. 

You will manage the procurement activities for nominated projects; develop and manage categories of spend; contribute to the Victorian Government Purchasing Board expansion project; and facilitate and deliver training packages for Parks Victoria staff and management of internal and external stakeholders. You will also be required to develop a strong working relationship with internal procurement staff as well as business units across the organisation under a business partnering model. You will provide business partnering services, leadership and procurement expertise to the branch and relevant stakeholders to ensure divisional strategic goals are achieved and services are provided in an effective and timely manner.

To be successful for this role you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, accounting or economics is essential.
  • Extensive experience in a designated procurement position.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a dynamic set of stakeholders to drive transformation and change.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practice.
  • A current Employee Working with Children check
