Position Summary:

The Senior Advisor will support the Executive Director of Case Contact and Outbreak (CCOM) Integration in driving policy approaches and deliverables in the COVID-19 Public Health Division in the Case Contact and Outbreak Management Branch. The Branch has responsibility for the support and case and contact management of people who have tested positive to COVID-19. The Branch also has responsibility for policy and protocol reviews and the scalability of case and contact operations as required. In addition, the Branch has oversight and responsibility for outbreak management responses and preparedness activities.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide timely, professional advice, support and guidance to the Executive Director of CCOM Integration.
  • Involved in the development and implementation of processes and systems for the effective monitoring and coordination of cell objectives.
  • Briefing and correspondence management
  • Engage with key stakeholders to develop sound policy outcomes that supports the response to COVID-19.
  • Manage a range of projects/functions each with increased budget, staff responsibilities or strategic importance.
  • Liaise with other government areas and key industry sectors.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Provide timely, high-quality and accurate information and advice on issues related to a range of key stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and manage risk.
  • Contribute advanced expertise and knowledge to benefit strategic planning and organisation/sector-wide outcomes.
  • Respond productively to deliver solutions and outcomes in an organisational environment complicated by scale, heterogeneity and complexity.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements
