Newly created role to deliver a significant infrastructure project and establish a project management function for this global multinational.

This is a blue chip multinational that has been delivering innovative solutions within the infrastructure services sector for over 100 years. They have a clear growth agenda and are about to execute a strategy that will "change the landscape" for the Australian region.

This newly created role will drive a significant capital infrastructure project across the Oceania region and develop the project management framework for subsequent programs. The Project Management Office will then drive, monitor and evaluate a portfolio of projects of strategic importance across the business.

You will champion a Project Management culture within the business, including implementation of the required systems, processes and governance to ensure success. This role will lead and oversee all aspects of project management, development and implementation across a portfolio of strategic projects, including preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, identifying, allocating and managing resources.

You will also implement strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, and assess project progress and overall effectiveness.

You will be tertiary qualified with proven influencing skills, with a disciplined approach to ensure stakeholders are all on the "same page" and meeting agreed targets. You will manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issue management skills to ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project and project deliverables are met. Previous experience in rolling out significant infrastructure projects within a complex organisation is essential. Experience executing projects in the Infrastructure, Supply Chain or Logistics fields would be ideal.
