As a Senior Children's Services Authorised Officer you will play a key role in promoting quality improvement in ECEC services by actively monitoring compliance, planning and leading investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) licenses and regulates about 4,600 early childhood education and care services operating across Victoria. We strive to be a best practice regulator and use a range of strategies to deliver regulatory outcomes. Our role is to ensure service operators provide safe, high-quality learning environments for children attending their services.

About the Role

As a Senior Children's Services Authorised Officer you will play a key role in promoting quality improvement in ECEC services by actively monitoring compliance, planning and leading investigations and conducting assessment and rating visits at Victorian ECEC services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a collaborative and motivated team member, who upholds organisation values in all interactions and actively contributes to a constructive culture.

This is a full time, ongoing position, at the VPS5 level based in the Glen Waverley office. The role involves travel which, at times, includes overnight stays.

Do you have

  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality in early childhood education and care and/or demonstrated experience working in a regulatory environment undertaking quality assurance, compliance and investigative activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders and high-level interpersonal skills and communication skills.
