The Department of Transport brings together all transport modes to design, plan, build and operate Victoria's transport system. SENIOR ALLIANCE PROGRAM MONITORING OFFICER

  • Annual Salary Range: VPS4 $87,640 - $99,438 + superannuation
  • Tenure: Fixed Term until [12 Months]
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: Geelong (flexibility may be available)

About the Team

To deliver transport services across all modes that provides a single user interface to the transport network.

About the Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to liaise with Regional and Alliance stakeholders to develop strong working relationships to ensure the principles of the Maintenance Alliance are maintained. The role will also apply specialist skills in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of performance targets (KPI's / KRA's) yearly Alliance Works Notice, Value for Money reporting and budget control for the Alliance.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will need to have demonstrated ability in:

  • Demonstrate capacity to comply with and recommend to management, a suite of performance indicators and reports to effectively manage business performance against agreed targets, including reviewing cost estimates and project actual outturn costs.
  • Exercise professional independent judgement to forecast monthly and yearly Alliance and Council expenditure and budgets
  • Exercise professional independent judgement when making decisions to deliver business outcomes within project or program scope.
  • Use well-developed problem-solving skills to resolve moderately complex issues for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide sound advice to stakeholders on complex financial issues in accordance with VicRoads financial policy, procedures, and systems.
  • Have expert skills in the use of software packages used to manage financial control, project management, procurement and memo or letter writing.

Mandatory

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience relevant to the capabilities of the role.
