AMPS are industry leaders in training mining professionals in industry best practice standards and processes on site. Following the success of our face-to-face training courses, we’ve launched the AMPS Academy!

At AMPS Academy, we want to change the old time consuming, tedious, and boring way of professional development into a fun and engaging way to learn! This compelling, present-day learning uses real and recent industry examples to explain everything you need to know in captivating short videos!

To make this happen, we are looking for a motion graphics designer. You will be creating 2D animation in a fun & engaging way in Adobe After Effects. Working alongside engineers, you will articulate working processes and sometimes complex problems for our national and international training programs.

As a part of a creative team, you will be contributing to novel and exciting ways to present information, so good humour and a can-do attitude are a must! Previous engineering or mining experience would be a great asset.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years motion design experience and talent in creating 2D animation in Adobe After Effects. The addition of 3D experience would be a great asset for future projects. 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for asset preparation, creating objects that you will animate in After Effects.
  • Have a good grasp of the theme tips, standard design, animation, texture, rhythm, colour, etc. 
  • Be able to put forward insights and ideas into the team.
  • Have an eye for detail, efficient time and project management, work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
  • Have a strong brand sense and willingness to improve brand through artistry.
  • Excellent communication skills, enjoy teamwork and be able to work independently.

You will also be: 

  • Flexible and comfortable in changing work demands and responsibilities.
  • Willing to work in Microsoft Teams and online project management software.
  • A customer advocate and obsessive about creating a great user experience.
