WHO IS DAMN GOOD BEAUTY?

Damn Good Beauty own some of Australia’s most up-and-coming and innovative beauty brands, such as APPELLES & Biology. (And, if you can keep a secret, we have a new brand launching soon Urban Jungle - shhhh!) While most of our brands have been around for a bit, DG was launched in 2020 as the umbrella company to house (and love!) these brands. We also sublicence our brands to another Australian business, VANITY GROUP (you may have heard of ’em). They manufacture and distribute our products into key hotels around the world – so you can have us at home and on holiday!


We are quickly growing and expanding our business so we are looking for someone who can jump on board to help with making our social media channels and content Damn Good!


THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

This is a newly created role and is a vital position to help take our already amazing brands to the next level. You will have the freedom to experiment and challenge us.

You will be responsible for implementing customer recruitment, retention and loyalty initiatives and regular email campaigns, that deliver high levels of engagement to our customers domestically and internationally. 

The CRM Executive will execute the daily, end to end management of all CRM and email marketing for all retail brands, including but not limited to weekly email communication to the subscriber database, database audience management and cleanse, audience building, automation & series management. 


ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent customer journey, timely delivery of joint strategies and that changes in priorities or complexities are captured and reflected in campaign elements
  • Setting up of strategic audience targeting and building segmented audience lists
  • Looking for opportunities to further enhance and optimise our lifecycle marketing plan
  • Developing A/B test plans to improve email performance and engagement (opens, clicks and conversion), execute testing and share results
  • Maintaining a holistic view of the entire customer communication suite, ensuring that customer experience remains at the centre of activities
  • Database mining, list segmentation and contact targeting using first-party data
  • Working closely with the eCommerce & digital Manager, use a multi-channel approach across all channels to increase member base, frequency of shopping and unsubscribes.
  • Managing the email portion of the DGB marketing calendar including the strategic planning and scheduling of email campaigns to support commercial and brand objectives
  • Work with the Ecommerce & Digital Manager to develop and execute the CRM/EDM strategy for each brand 
  • Ownership of end-to-end EDM process – conceptualisation & moodboarding/research/generating inspiration, briefing, feedback, stakeholder briefing, email testing, segmentation and post-campaign analysis
  • Ensure all brands are running smoothly on mail chimp to the correct parameters set
  • Working with developers and digital agency to ensure all tracking including revenue is syncing with eDMs, google analytics and websites 
  • To optimise, track, monitor and evaluate eDM campaigns and provide weekly reports
  • Measuring, reporting and optimising all CRM activities within the emerging markets market


ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years proven CRM/Marketing experience preferably in a retail environment
  • You will have relevant tertiary studies in marketing 
  • Highly competent with MailChimp or equivalent platforms such as Klavyo, Salesforce or Emarsys
  • Exceptional planning, briefing, setting up and sending eDMs
  • Development & implementation of A/B test cases, automation campaigns and segmentation
  • Highly competent with audience list management and database cleansing
  • You should have a strong foundation and understanding of CRM or customer behaviour and be curious about using data insights to drive decision making
  • A curious and analytical mindset
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, retail environment whilst maintaining focus
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
