Superintendent Mobile Maintenance

Work Location: Christmas Creek mine (FIFO ex Perth)

Roster: 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 roster

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Manager, this position offers a key leadership role for Fortescue's Christmas Creeks Mobile Maintenance team, responsible for leading and mentoring a team of trades-based personnel to safely deliver world-class availability and reliability. To willingly and consistently promote excellence through the application of values and visible safety engaging leadership.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Maintain fleet availability above KPI targets
  • Review weekly plan of service and backlog repairs
  • Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained and personnel are trained/competent
  • Ensuring adherence to maintenance plans, budgets and the availability and reliability of equipment on site
  • Providing strategic direction on mobile equipment maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives
  • Coaching, supporting and guiding our teams in creating a positive safety engaging team culture.
Qualifications and skills required:
  • At least 3 years site based, large fleet mobile maintenance supervisory experience on a mine site a minimum
  • Strong background in heavy mobile maintenance and equipment lifecycle/strategies including rebuilds.
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance strategies and repairs to large scale Caterpillar mining equipment
  • Experience in Planning and scheduling
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office, SAP and BMS systems
  • Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
  • HR / IR exposure & understanding
  • Ability to undertake quality risk assessments and support safe best practice methods
  • Strong focus on creating a positive engaging culture within your teams whilst maintaining safety as a priority.
