The Role

We are currently seeking your ICT Facilities expertise to undertake a review and develop an executable options paper of the Audio Telecommunications (ATC)/Video Telecommunications (VTC) facilities, client endorsed and supported equipment used by our client at one of their Canberra locations.

Under limited direction from the client, the ICT specialist is required to deliver an executable options paper to improve the ATC/VTC facilities through the analysis and review of the current facilities by the End of Financial Year, delivering an Executable Options Paper to Improve ATC/VTC Facilities, including:

  • Analyse, review the current ATC/VTC facilities, in order to develop the options paper
  • Facilities to assess and include in the final paper:
  • Provision of Skype onto a large screen to enhance its full capabilities
  • Camera & audio performance of VERA and Skype or other ATC/VTC access mediums
  • Facility and utility of ATC/VTC facilities in requested shared meeting rooms
  • An interactive video and voice conference capability:
  • For meetings up to the “PROTECTED” level
  • Controllable from a single point that is managed by the presenter/secretary
  • Connected to the DPN – with full skype for business functionality with audio visual feeds from multiple members at the conference table to and from a virtual forum.
  • The ability for a presenter to present PPT, documents and other standard products from the within the meeting room.
  • Connectivity to standalone devices (laptop etc.) to enable full GovTeams, Vera and Skype functionality.
  • Provisioned for a range of modern input types (HDMI, USB-C DVI etc.)
  • Wi-Fi or internet connectivity for standalone device connectivity.
  • The ability to receive “dial in” and “dial out” voice calls.
Desirable Skills
  • Awareness and working knowledge of current Defence/Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group ICT Software and Hardware - Essential
  • Demonstrated experience in business improvement strategies – Essential
  • Experience in writing reports to an executive audience – Highly desirable
  • General familiarity with the Defence Enterprise – Highly desirable
  • Liaison and stakeholder engagement skills – Highly desirable
