JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

Challenge Community Services is currently looking for an experienced and motivated full-time Carer Compliance Manager, to join our Foster Care team in Dubbo, NSW.

This role will provide leadership and support to the team of Carer Compliance Officers to engage with, and ensure foster and kinship carers, along with children and young people, have a positive assessment and intake process. You will take an active role in staff recruitment, training, development and supervision, and will be responsible for ensuring consistency and compliance with policies, procedures and all government and non-government requirements.

  • Have excellent time management skills and taking initiative is second nature.
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Can work autonomously and provide direction and support to your team.
  • Is able to communicate effectively.

Essential Criteria

  • Diploma or Degree level qualification Human Services, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Out of Home Care.
  • Have a strong understanding of and experience working with regulatory bodies including the Office of the Children’s Guardian and NSW Ombudsman.
  • Previous leadership experience including training and development of staff.
  • A current NSW Working With Children’s check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Unencumbered Australian or NSW drivers licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • A certificate IV in Training and Assessment and experience with carer reviews are desirable but can be obtained once in the position.

Job Benefits

  • Entry rate of $44.08 per hour. Higher pay points may apply depending on qualifications and experience. Salary packaging of $15,900 tax free pay per fringe benefit year.
