About Our Client:

Our client manage and provide public services to the Queensland Central Highlands Region. With a focus and dedication to maintaining local infrastructure and community services such as pools, sporting and waste facilities.

About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking experienced Rangers to commence immediately in the Central Highlands region of Queensland. This role will see you follow a Monday to Friday, 8am â 5pm roster with RDO every fortnight. As a ranger you will be responsible for monitoring and operating animal management responsibilities whilst ensuring compliance and enforcement on a wide range of legislation and local laws policies. Implementation of pest management & stock route network management plan. Rangers also deliver on community education with a focus on responsible per ownership.

Training will be provided over the first couple of weeks for the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Focused and committed to upholding all safety standards and procedures.

Picking up stray animals and taking them to local pound facilities

Cleaning pound and cattery

Investigating and responding to customer complaints relating to stay animals and overgrown allotments

Enter information into client systems (computer based)

Associating with CQ pet rescue and other organisation

Suitable candidate must be able to competently research, analyse and interpret legislation

Technical writing skills to write investigation reports

Strong communication skills to assist with dealing with the public in an enforcement setting

Skills and Experience:

C Class Drivers Licence

Right to work - Australia

Sound level of computer literacy - Microsoft Office applications

Experience in a similar role - Desirable

Cert in Animal handling or equivalent experience in animal handling â Desirable

Ability to work autonomous and within a small team
