Business unit

The L&G team provides a comprehensive range of support services to all AMP business lines, through the AMP legal teams, Corporate Governance and Superannuation Trustee Office, and the management of outside legal counsel.

Dispute Resolution & Regulatory Response (DRRR) is responsible for the management of all major disputes and litigation as well as regulatory responses across the AMP Group. This includes advice on complex claims, response to regulator notices and advice, support and training to various AMP business units

Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Response, Operations this role leads and manages key projects in relations to regulatory notices/requests ensuring quality and delivery within the required timeframes. Working collaboratively with our DRRR teams, stakeholders and data owners you will make certain that the completed responses to the regulators are accurate and verified prior to the final sign-off.

You will act as a Subject Matter Expert, on regulatory requests and have the confidence in dealing with our senior stakeholders such as Heads and Executives. Where required act as a contact point between ASIC and AMP Group including APRA

What we look for in you
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years' practical experience in a compliance, regulatory or legal function in the Financial Services industry
  • End to End Project Management of Regulator Notices in the Financial Services sector
  • Proficiency using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other IT applications
  • Knowledge of document management principles and practices ideal
  • Experience working in a Legal & Governance role would be well regarded
  • Capacity to understand, apply and balance statutory, regulatory and commercial requirements within the Financial Services industry, as well as understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability in delivering quality and timely solutions
  • Superb communication skills verbal, written and presentation
