The Aboriginal Health Worker works as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, providing flexible primary health care services to Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander people and community; including activities in response to the holistic and cultural needs of people and communities to achieve better health access and outcomes.

The Aboriginal Health team is a passionate team that collaborates with all medical, nursing and allied health teams to provide a culturally sensitive link between medical teams, Aboriginal patients and communities within WNSWLHD.

Where you’ll be working:
Wellington is the second oldest town west of the Blue Mountains and is located less than half an hour from the regional hub of Dubbo and just over an hour from the picturesque town of Orange in the state’s Central West.

Wellington Health Service is a 12-bed sub-acute facility and includes a 24-hour Emergency Department, Ambulatory Care services, Renal Dialysis, Methadone Clinic and weekly Dental services.

A range of allied health services operate from Wellington Health Service and a number of visiting services including Drug and Alcohol services and Psychiatry services also operate from the facility.
