Job Description

We are excited to share that we are currently on the lookout for a Branch Manager to head up our busy Transport operation in Tasmania.

As the Branch Manager you will oversee the day to day running of a busy transport network that services the Tasmanian region. This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency, all blend together under multi sites across a varied network of transport solutions. Our customers vary from groceries to industrial equipment and so do our transport and supply chain solutions (Xdock, Linehaul, Specialised Services etc).

At a high level the Branch Manager leads a team of upto 150 indirect reports with 4 direct reports where through strategic P&L review you continue to drive the high standards our team currently operate towards whilst ensuring best practice to safety and operational efficiency.

Some of your duties would include

  • Interpret and Implement global strategies and policies at a local level
  • Responsible for the regions P&L management and achievement of agreed budgeted targets
  • Driving through and identifying organic growth opportunities across our services with your customers both internal and external
  • Leading and inspiring your teams to over-achieve on our safety and operational requirements with an emphasis on customer engagement
  • Efficient and smart management of a varied network business that requires you to balance between strategy and action daily.
  • Continue to advocate our safety obsessed culture

To be successful, experience required

  • At least 5 years senior leadership experience within the transport or related industry
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in leading and inspiring operational teams
  • Experience of managing site P&L’s.
  • Demonstrable experience in operational and customer growth
  • A passion for talent identification and building succession planning into your teams.
  • A curious nature where you are comfortable through data to challenge the status quo.
  • Fluid and confident decision making with an ability to navigate through the grey zones.
