Job Description

As a Test Lead/Manager you will be required to lead testing activities on assigned projects. This will include the development of test plans, estimates and weekly cadence reporting. Under general direction, formulates and defines systems testing scope and objectives using information technology and industry knowledge/requirements. Act as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Ability to exercise independent judgement within the defined practices and procedures to determine the appropriate action.

Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight in the design, development, execution and maintenance of test processes and diagnostic programs for network systems development.
  • Lead, manage or execute overall test efforts for small to mid-sized, large and/or complex software product development or support projects throughout the project life cycle.
  • Lead, manage or execute function testing to measure quality of functional (business) components and ensure that the product meets business objectives.
  • Provide innovative approaches to functional application testing and subject matter expertise in related tools and techniques.
  • Create and execute test plans for network systems development. Design, develop, implement and maintain test processes and diagnostic programs.
  • Conduct simple to complex testing, troubleshooting and analysis on network systems development.
  • Apply basic industry and functional area knowledge while authoring integration and system test scripts, configuration test questionnaires and other test materials. Execute requirements-based functional tests for application software. Perform testing, troubleshooting and analysis on the development of network systems.
  • Provide continual improvement recommendations/direction setting advice within work team
  • Customer Relationship Management: Balance internal needs with customers and/or internal businesses/end user’s needs within defined parameters
  • Defines, identifies, collects, and organizes detailed information relating to testing requirements.
  • Work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global, and/or multi-functional
  • Designs testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements
  • Executes tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
  • Analyses the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.

Education And Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • ISTQB Foundation level certification
  • Typically, 5 years of relevant experience in FSI industry specifically secured lending.

Knowledge And Skills
  • Well versed in applying the appropriate test design for the correct context.
  • Exceptional static analysis / requirement elaboration skills
  • Demonstrable and well-developed question asking skills
  • An intermediate level of experience using any database query language
  • A basic level of experience in API testing.
  • Experience in adding value throughout an entire delivery lifecycle
  • A good understanding of software architecture
  • Ability to clearly document and articulate the following key deliverables: Test Plan, Test Completion Reports and Daily Reporting

Special Requirements
  • Knowledge of FSI industry and secured mortgage lending procedures and policy relevant for the Australian Banking market.

  • Adaptability, flexibility (changing priorities, working conditions)
