  • Manage the vehicle safety, compliance, standard and registration areas including the financial, physical, human, information and other resources. This will include setting the direction for the area, implementing change, driving a positive team culture, coaching and developing Team Leaders, ensuring the appropriate use of government resources and undertaking responsible budget management.
  • Set the strategic direction for the vehicle management chain, drive change and undertake continuous review of operational policy, public education programs, business practices and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and improved vehicle safety and client outcomes.
  • Undertake high-level community and stakeholder communication, engagement and liaison through building and maintaining productive and sustainable relationships with a wide range of both internal and external service providers and stakeholders.
  • Undertake high level research and analysis of current national and international directions, emerging trends, legislative and compliance requirements, government initiatives etc. to inform and support continued business improvement for Registration and Licensing Services.
  • Research and prepare high level correspondence and briefings to the Minister, Secretary and other senior management and prepare high-level correspondence to external stakeholders on a range of complex issues in relation to vehicle registration and compliance.
  • Contribute to broader Branch and Agency policies and strategies and provide expert advice and support to the Director Registration and Licensing in relation to vehicle management and safety.

A current full drivers licence
