The role:

  • The Human Resource (HR) Consultant provides high level HR consultancy services to managers and employees and works closely with individual business units to help diagnose and manage HR needs, including managing localised industrial and performance management issues.

    The position provides high level HR Advice to the HR Manager and is also responsible for effectively assisting with the development and implementation of a range of initiatives, including policy.

The team and service:

  • Working with a dedicated and established HR team that provides support to the Health Services across the Northern Area.

Details of Appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight.

Salary: $95,033 - $107,840 per annum + 9.5% superannuation

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Applicants will ideally meet the desirable requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the delivery of HR services, preferably in a health/hospital setting.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
  1. crimes of violence
  2. sex related offences
  3. serious drug offences
  4. crimes involving dishonesty
  1. Identification check
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
