Location: Gracemere, QLD

About the role:

  • Facilitate and contribute achievement of safety and environmental performance targets
  • Undertake infrastructure track maintenance including re-railing, resleepering, track renewals and general track maintenance
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to the development of new work practices
  • Report on work performed against scheduled work program
  • Varied roster formats
  • Travel across CQCN for system closures

About you:

  • Class C Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence – MR or above (Desirable)
  • Excavator, Loader & Bobcat Ticket (Advantageous)
  • Certificate II or III in Rail Infrastructure (Preferred)
  • Ability to work autonomously and function well in a team environment
  • Be forward thinking with a strong sense of initiative
  • Physically fit individual with ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Safety conscious attitude and high regard for safety in the workplace
  • Sound level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems and processes
  • Must be willing to travel and spend nights away from home
